Although, I am seriously so sick of the snow and fog and...cold...and...ugh. I am thinking spring can't come soon enough! But these people looked like they were having such fun on a sunny day. Sultans of Swing- Dire Straits remix.

Sultans of Swing remix. 20x20 Oil on Canvas. I have been looking at this painting for awhile and my husband and I both decided the shadows of the swings, although accurate according to the photo...just didn't look correct. Too much of,,,now what shadow goes with what swing? So I decided to do an abstract type of shadow thing. After all, I didn't like the painting as it was.

I think I like the abstract foreground better. What do you think?

Day 14 of the 30 in 30. European Stonechat and Foxglove. 8x8 Oil on Gessobord. Found this little guy on the Photos for Artists Page...Wow...what did I do before I found that page? So many good photographers willing to share for artists! Thanks to Phil Jenkins for this one. Why oh why do I try to paint that fuchsia color? It never is as vibrant as I want it to be. 

Day 13- American Pie- Don McLean

Day 13 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days. 6x6 Oil on Gessobord. The challenge this week on Daily Paintworks is to paint some type of pastry and then....eat it! Now, I have to blame Carol Marine of Daily Paintworks for the neglect of my diet this week! This is my family's no.1 requested pie - apple raspberry. It is soooooo good! Day 12 of the 30 in 30. Calf Enjoying The Sunshine. 6x6 Oil on gessobord. Wow...I didn't realize what I was biting off here! This one was a bugger. Took me way longer than it should of. I repainted the foreground around 5 times. The shadow was very challenging. Photo was taken by
