Summer Fun

Yesterday I took way to long to paint the baby birds so today I decided to do something fast and quick. Slap some paint on........get crazay.......So I found a nail polish bottle, and some other stuff to serve as mini vignette. This reminds me of summer.......as everyone wants a pedi to show off in the summer!!!!!!!!!

I painted this for the Summertime Challenge on Daily Paintworks today. Looks fabulously warm and fun. A summer pic-a-nic. Tim's birthday is today, so I did this while I made him one of his favorite desserts.
No not rhubarb pie...my rhubarb here in Guate kicked the bucket......but creme brulee.

Finally attempted to paint this from a photo I have had for a year or more. I love the colors of the traditional dress of these Mayan women.

New reading material!

Recently purchased a fabulous book titled, " Alla Prima II" by Richard Schmid. Very well worth the price. It has motivated me learn and paint!!!! Love it!

The Zorn Challenge on Daily Paintworks

Well at first I was very skeptical that I could pull this off. But the more I got into it the more amazed I was at the amount of colors I could actually make using only the 4 colors. I think it turned out pretty good. As much as I wanted to go for the green......I didn't, and I am glad I refrained!
